Some people will see this meme…

…and concur that we need a more efficient police state to keep an eye on all those undocumented workers who work for crap wages and are thoroughly integrated into our economy enough to be exploited, but not to have rights–as the author of the meme intends.  Others, like me, look at it and think “Those poor Indians.  $1.25 is crap wages and a lot of it is from jobs shipped overseas by corporations who care more about profits and avoiding safe labor practices than about giving back to the country that made them rich.”  And when you point that out, the company grabs a kid from a sweat shop as a human shield and shouts, “Don’t talk about that or the poor kid gets it.”
