Prayer Request from a Returning Catholic
He writes:I’ll try to keep what is a long story for me a short one for you. I was baptized, had first confession, first communion, confirmation and was raised Catholic in that weddings, funerals, Christmas and Easter sort of way many people are. Over the years I began questioning everything and I converted to eastern philosophy, mostly hinduism and buddhism. After that I gave Islam a try and Judaism but finally felt called back to Christ. I’ve been a non-denominational Christian for about 6 years or so and lately have felt the call to come back home to Catholicism but my Christian friends would see that as me going to the “whore of Babylon” as I’ve heard some refer to The Church as. I’m going to need a lot of prayers for this as I am increasingly seeing this as the right thing to do. Please pray for me.Father, hear our prayer for your son as he seeks to return to you, according to the will of the Holy Spirit who draws him to you. Make his path straight and smooth, send your holy angels to guide and protect him, and surround him with good people who can supply his needs and toward whom he can practice the virtues. Mother Mary, St. Peter, and St. Augustine, pray for him! We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!FWIW, I have some articles that may help with some of your question here, gentle Reader.
