…patriotism is a quaint notion that the lower orders believe in, and which is useful manipulating them as our Ruling Class pull up stakes and ditch America. The country is useful for sucking dry and ginning into a war when desirable. But *loving* their country? Please. How childish. Our Ruling Class isn’t into the whole “love God and neighbor” thing. That’s for the lower orders too. And patriotism is nothing other than the love of neighbor. Our Ruling Class sees most neighbors as the butcher sees the cow.
