Prayer Request

A reader sends along this plea from a friend of his:Looking for help, friends. My mentally ill and defenseless son was brutally beaten by law enforcement officers yesterday, Monday, August 18, 2014, at 1 pm, in the middle of 4-lane Woodward Avenue in downtown Pontiac. No crime, no violation committed, wore no shoes or pants, simply sox, boxers and a tee-shirt, was walking on the sidewalk. Was chased, tasered, taken down to the concrete by 6 men, pounded to the pavement, dragged across the pavement, cuts everywhere including all over his head. This all happened right in front of me. I am screaming at the cops to leave him alone, he’s sick and defenseless. The attacks and tasering continued. Most violent scene I have ever witnessed, live and only a few feet from me. I am hoping people traveling north on Woodward at about 1 pm yesterday might have seen the event, even parts of it, saw my son, maybe video is available, if anyone knows anything or hears of this from anyone, I would be so very grateful. Prayers for peace and safety for all of you.Father, hear our prayer for healing and justice for this young man, for mercy for those who beat him up, and for healing for his father who had to witness this. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!
