The Catholic Worker – Charles Beard – Theology on Tap
The Catholic Worker – Charles Beard
This week at Theology on Tap: “The Catholic Worker” by guest speaker Charles Beard. The Catholic Young Adults Group moves towards making the Young Adults of the Diocese authentically Catholic, by fostering a renewed sense of spirituality and faith, creating a spirit and environment of friendship, and building up the Body of Christ through service and celebration of the sacraments.
Why We’re Here
The Catholic Young Adults (CYA) group moves towards making the Young Adults of the Diocese, ages 18-39, married or single, authentically Catholic by fostering a renewed sense of spirituality and faith, creating a spirit and environment of friendship, and building up the Body of Christ through service and celebration of the sacraments.
How We Serve
CYA meets regularly throughout the year for activities that include Mass, volunteering, social gatherings, Theology on Tap, Holy Grounds, and sports activities just to name a few!
All events are planned by young adults for young adults. Our events benefit from a large group of young adults that one parish alone cannot produce. Enjoy the company of one hundred others our age at McNellie’s Pub as we listen to topics of faith delivered by dynamic speakers. Participate in small faith groups over a nice dinner hosted at a new friend’s house. Enjoy a happy hour with an enjoyable crowd of people. Each month, we invite everyone to help plan events and to ensure we follow our mission as an organization.

Pamela is married to a great guy, David, and they have a great daughter, Elizabeth, with another baby on the way. Currently a stay-at-home mother, Pamela was a speech-language-pathologist in an elementary school for a couple of years. She enjoys spending time with family and friends (basically what Lord’s Day is all about), baking, racquetball, and board games. Many great friendships have developed because of the Lord’s Day small groups and Pamela looks forward to watching God’s blessing of community continue to unfold in this ministry.
How You Can Get Involved
The CYA gets together to plan out activities every third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 at Christ the King in the cafeteria of Marquette school, so please come and share your ideas at a meeting and join us afterward at Kilkenny’s for a bite to eat!
