TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE:

MATTHEW 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “For human beings this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”

What a beautiful verse reminding us of the omnipotent, omnipresent, everliving God. For me at times it is hard to grasp the concept of omnipotent (all powerful). As humans with finite minds, it is impossible to fully grasp. But it is not an illogical concept. All things HAVE to be possible with God. As science continually confirms each year, the universe has a beginning. In order to have a beginning you have to have someone or something (God) start the beginning. There has to be someone to push the first domino for all the dominos to start falling. There has a to be a “Big Banger” in the Big Bang. This is God. God, the Creator of all the universe, the One who knew you completely before you were born, the One who formed you in the womb and counted every hair on your head, the One who loves you so much that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die for our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him. Nothing is impossible for Him.

Many of us, myself included, tend to carry and hold on to certain heavy parts of our lives. We love to give God parts of our life but it is tough to give God all of our life. Few people conquer this feat. They call those people saints.  Today let’s be challenged to give God every part of our being. Give Him that part of your life that you have been holding on to. Let Him carry the weight… For all is possible with God – He can handle it. He wants it and begs us to give it to Him so that He may purify us and bring us closer to Him. If it is the stress of your job – stop as soon as possible and say a prayer to let Him in and to give you guidance. If it is your marriage – give it to Him and pray with your spouse. If it is a problem with a family member – give Him the problem and ask Him to help resolve it. If it is your health – offer up your suffering and join it to the suffering of the Cross.  It will not go wasted. If it is an addiction – ask the Lord to help you break free of those chains not just today but every day. Ask for the grace – He will give it. If it is finances – Ask the Lord to give you peace and comfort in this trying time. Ask for the wisdom of how to move forward. He will not abandon you. Whatever it is in your life that is troubling you, today right this moment, give it to God and feel the weight of the burden come off your shoulders. For all, not some, things are possible for God.

God love you!
